A violent accident between a Ferrari 456 and a Volkswagen Gol that took place in Martinez, an affluent city located near the Argentine capital of Buenos Aires was caught on tape by a nearby security camera.
The video shows the blue Ferrari 456 after the driver lost control of the car as it heads slideways towards an oncoming Volkswagen Gol hatchback. The impact, as you can see for yourself in the security footage, is severe. Both drivers were taken to the hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
Although we could not confirm this, media reports from the country citing police sources state that the driver was not the owner of the car but a dealer employee who was taking the Italian supercar for its technical inspection.
Internet-giant Google has just adopted the largest workplace charging installation for electric vehicles in the U.S. with the completion of 70 “ChargePoint” stations at its Mountain View, California headquarters.
The new charging infrastructure will support both employee-owned EVs and “GFleet” plug-in vehicles such as the Chevy Volt and Nissan LEAF. And there are 250 more charging stations on the way, with the goal of making Google’s HQ parking facilities 5% EV-ready.
A bespoke sports car priced over than $370,000 and of which only 500 will be produced worldwide, isn’t something you normally expect to see at a drift event. But in the Land of the Rising Sun, everything goes when it comes to burning tires and wowing crowds.
Making its appearance on the sidelines of the 2011 D1 Grand Prix Tokyo drift was this stock Lexus LFA, which you can enjoy in action in the video that follows after the break.
If anything else, spy photographers have their work cut out with the new Toyota FT-86 sports coupe. Our spies have photographed and filmed the new Opel (Vauxhall in Britain) Astra Convertible on test in Germany. The vehicles caught testing here are early prototype models as the front doors appear to be carried over complete with their frames from the hatchback model.
Nevertheless, we are offered out first look at the open-top version of the new Astra series, which is planned to go on sale by early 2013. The most important change over the previous Astra TwinTop is the replacement of the more complicated, heavier and costly retractable metal roof with a traditional fabric hood.
Back in the mid-1990s, Volkswagen’s designers came up with a bright idea (literally…) involving the Polo supermini and the colorful theatrical character Harlequin. The result was the Polo Harlekin or Harlequin featuring a multi-colored body. Against all odds, the strange looking Polo proved to be a moderate success with Volkswagen boosting the initial production run from 1,000 cars to a total of around 3,800 units.
From the creators of the Murcielago LP-640 Roadster wannabe we showed you back in 2009, comes a new Lamborghini doppelganger with fresh looks but the same Pontiac Solstice underpinnings.
This time, the car is supposed to resemble a Gallardo Spyder in a Superleggera outfit. The Lambo replica is finished in the usual for this type of conversions canary yellow and while the builders ditched the scissor door solution, they did add power controlled doors and a hood, which automatically open at the touch of a button – you know, just in case some of your friends weren’t already impressed […].
There’s a stranger in my bed, there’s a pounding in my head...
Move over Rebecca Black, Katy Perry has a new song about Friday.
Katy has just released her latest video “Last Friday Night T.G.I.F” and viewers may not recognize the super trendy singer at first.
The video starts with a very nerdy looking group of kids the morning after a big Friday night party at their parents house.
Perry sports braces, nerd cloths, nerd hair, nerd glasses, mustache waxing, a hangover, and nerd friends. Rebecca Black makes an appearance as does the 1900’s boy band Hanson.
There are also cameos from Glee's Darren Criss, Kenny G playing the saxophone, Corey Feldman as her father, and 80's rocker Debbie Gibson as her mother.
The premise is the makeover of a geek dweeb nerd into a beautiful swan. We won’t give it all away so just watch and enjoy!

The Disney XD channel, known for its predominantly teen oriented programming, launched its latest action series called “Kickin’ It” last night - and it looks like a hit.
Or maybe we should say a “kick”.
The premise of the show revolves around two competing martial arts dojos and their attempt to recruit the hottest karate kid in town played by 14-year-old Leo Howard.
Howard, no stranger to martial arts and action flicks, finds himself in the starring role of “Jack”, the grandson of the Wasabi Warriors Karate franchise founder and master trainer.
Jack not only tries to save the Wasabi Dojo, but also tries to impress the cutest girl in the club. It’s classic teen Disney, and sure to be a hit if they give the series enough time to find an audience.
And Leo Howard’s got the moves.
In the premier episode, Howard performs a number of high performance kicks, flips, punches, and deflections – showing he is no stranger to this type of work.
And for good reason.
Leo is a champion black belt in martial arts, has been doing karate since he was 5-years-old, and is a member of the Sideswipe Performance Team – a high impact martial arts exhibition club in California.
His dad is the famous Todd Howard - also called “The Big Bulldog" who is another master of the martial arts.
Leo was born in Newport Beach California, but today lives near San Diego so he can work on his karate and television productions.
Not only is Leo Howard a Karate Master, but he also knows his way around Hollywood.
Before joining Disney, Leo got his start in a bit part on the popular TV series “Monk” playing a young karate kid.
His first movie role was in the action movie “G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra” with Sienna Miller, Dennis Quaid and Joseph Gordon-Levitt. The film told the story of an elite military unit comprised of special operatives known as G.I. Joe that takes on an evil organization led by a notorious arms dealer.
Leo has also appeared in a few high action television shows like “Children of the Corn”, “Leo Little's Big Show”, and “Zeke and Luther”.
All that practice has paid off, and now Howard is heading to the big big screen as the younger version of Conan, played by Jason Momoa, in “Conan the Barbarian” due in theaters later this year.
Conan tells the tale of Conan the Cimmerian and his adventures across the continent of Hyboria on a quest to avenge the murder of his father and the slaughter of his village.

We’re sure with Disney behind his promotion, Leo Howard and his karate skills could go on to be the next Disney teen idol.
After all, Selena Gomez and Miley Cyrus will be leaving the nest soon and Disney needs to keep the machine running.
Once you watch this video, we are pretty sure that you will think twice before saying the little kid running around like a twister throwing sand all over the place and the odd couple trying to learn how to play rackets are the most annoying things you have ever seen at the beach.
The apparently intoxicated owner of this black Infiniti FX along with his equally messed up friends went berserk on a Russian beach (or at least the person who uploaded the video on Youtube claims that the incident took place in Russia) and put everyone in danger including themselves when they drove the Japanese crossover into and out of the sea.
In their third attempt to show their pedigree to beach goers they managed to sink the Infiniti, which of course was flooded with sea water once the driver opened the door... Follow the break to watch the video for yourself.
Singer, songwriter, and actress Selena Gomez says she is feeling much better today after her health scare over the weekend.
No, she is not pregnant. No, she did not pass out from food poisoning.
Gomez had cancelled a Friday concert at Santa Monica Place and rescheduled it for today after falling ill Thursday night while taping the Jay Leno Show.
Gomez took to her twitter account saying,
"Thank you all for being so understanding. I can't wait to see you all today at Santa Monica Place for the Monte Carlo kickoff!"
It seems the whole problem was over high blood pressure and exhaustion.
After an overnight stay in the hospital, and a brief return Saturday for test results, she has been given the “all clear” and is moving on with her schedule.
In addition to her ten city concert tour she is also releasing her romantic comedy “Monte Carlo” on July 1st.
The romantic comedy tells the story of three young women vacationing in Paris who find themselves whisked away to Monte Carlo after one of the girls is mistaken for a British heiress.

The team behind the Russian edition of BBC’s Top Gear magazine recently headed over to the Nurburgring racetrack to try out Hyundai’s rear-wheel drive Genesis Coupe. The model of choice was fitted with a 3.8-liter V6 engine delivering 306-horsepower, coupled to a six-speed automatic transmission.
If you don’t want to hear or see the antics of the presenters in the beginning of the clip, fast-forward the video a minute or two to go straight to the part where the magazine’s test driver Dmitry Sokolov laps the Nurburgring. And yes, that's a Porsche 911 -possibly from the GT series- that Sokolov is about to attack. So, in the spirit of Weinergate, Bill Maher invited Glee’s Jane Lynch to re-enact Weiner’s Facebook message exchange with one of his Internet mistresses.
In what Maher calls a dramatic reading, complete with background chamber music, Maher and Lynch read Weiner’s messages he exchanged with Lisa, a Las Vegas Blackjack dealer.
It’s all here – comments about being hard, banging the future Mayor of New York City, Jewish girls giving head, c*ck sucking republicans, taking more photos, etc.
It’s really comedy and satire at its best.
Ah, only in America can you get busted for tweeting a picture of your junk, but make an audience scream by someone reading them your private email.
With development of the new Honda CR-Z Mugen concept nearing its end, the Japanese automaker decided it’s time to release the first video of the supercharged hybrid model on the road before its world premiere at the 2011 Goodwood Festival of Speed in July.
The prototype CR-Z is the collaborative work of Honda UK and its in-house tuning shop Mugen Euro. The hotted-up hybrid sports car feature modifications to the 1.5-liter i-VTEC petrol engine with the addition of a supercharger as well as to the Honda IMA system.
Selena Gomez made another visit to the hospital on Saturday – but not for an emergency.
She returned briefly for more tests and to hear the results of tests performed last Thursday after being rushed to the emergency room after taping the Jay Leno Show.
After her overnight stay Thursday she was released on Friday but returned Saturday only for routine follow-up tests.
Rumors ran wild Thursday night, and her boyfriend Justin Bieber even cancelled his trip to watch the Stanley Cup playoff game so he could monitor her progress.
Some said Gomez fell ill from food poisoning while others speculated she was pregnant with Bieber’s love child.
Not true.
It seems that Selena had a sudden spike in her blood pressure while on the NBC lot Thursday and was suffering from an extreme headache and severe exhaustion.
An NBC employee said,
"She did a backstage interview and hung out with Jim Carrey after the show. The Tonight Show people didn't even know she wasn't feeling well."
Gomez cancelled a Friday concert in Santa Monica but has since rescheduled it for Monday evening. From there she will perform a ten city concert tour.
Her blood pressure is being monitored and so far nobody really seems to know why things got so bad when they did.
So all the rumors can be laid to rest and Gomez seems to be just fine and is being watched closely.

This past February, Peugeot launched the four-door sedan variant of its 308 series in the Brazilian market as the new 408. In one of its first advertising campaigns for the car, the French carmaker wanted to communicate the compact-sized model’s safety features, namely the availability of six airbags with eight protection points.
Peugeot turned to the creative people of the Sao Paulo-based advertising agency Loducca who came up with an interactive print ad for the 408. The company used a supplier from China to create 50,000 mini airbags, which were then inserted in one of Brazil’s most reputable business magazines, the Exame.

Lady Gaga is once again coming under pressure for copying Madonna.
This time the criticism comes in the form of a visual mashup between Gaga’s “Born this way” and Madonna’s “Express Yourself” music videos.
I have to say, the first time I heard “Born this way” it made me think of “Express Yourself” so I was not surprised to hear all the news and speculation of theft and plagiarism.
But it wasn’t until we saw this YouTube video putting the two songs side by side that it really started to sink in.
I would like to believe Gaga when she says this is all just a big coincidence, but the two songs are almost identical – even down to the dance moves, costumes and body language.
I can’t believe that someone in the Gaga camp did not pull her aside and say, “Look – it’s a little too close for comfort.”
The criticism has moved Gaga to tears and she denies she tried to copy Madonna – but the video tells a different story.
But all is fair in love and music I guess, because as Gaga was taking heat for copying Madonna, Weird Al Yankovic was taking money for copying Lady Gaga in his latest parody.
