Thanks! S1932 might have been the law he was talking about. I think his job was more to reassure people that they were working on the problem... he didn't seem to be aware of the specifics. He did mention that Senator Chambliss is going to support Senator Specter's proposal.

Dear All,
I just received a FP notice for my wife scheduled for Sep 19, 2007. I have not received mine yet (I am the primary applicant), I have a few questions regarding this. Please help me if you have any information.
1. Is it normal for the primary applicant to not receive FP notice at the same time as dependent?
2. Can my wife get it done without me getting an FP notice?
3. Can I get my FP done on the same day as my wife even though I did not receive my FP notice?
4. I have filed for I-485, EAD and AP, will we both receive an FP notice for all 3 applications or it is just one FP for all applications?
Please help us with your expertise. Thank you very much for all your time.

The Conrad 30 J-1 physician waiver program is good news.
IV Physicans group worked on it led by Core team member- Paskal. Paskal had made several trips to DC to get support for the bill. IV had also sent a letter of support and provided guidance in its advocacy effort to people involved.
Paskal may have to update the group on the provisions that went into the final amendment.

What else do you want Bro. Give 30 days time to USCIS to send your card. we, most of us, would me more satisfied just to see the magical words - Current Status: Card production ordered in our case status.
Regarding holding card in physically, have to wait some time. Which should not be more taxing than waiting to see the magical words.
I started calling my friends the same night that I got GC, but back in my mind I was still not sure and thought "whatif USCIS made a mistake" and thought may be I should wait until I get the card.
I have spent coupla nights searching forums what kind of email people get when GC approved. I found most get Approval Email and Card production. I got only one email. I am still not able to believe I got GC. It was like a distant dream few weeks ago.

Hi,
I and my wife got AP's issued on Feb 4th 2008 with Validity till Feb 03 2008. We went to India and I returned on March 23rd and my Wife on April 20th, so at the port of entry we entered thru AP. On I-94 and AP officer stamped "Paroled till March 22 2009" for me and "Paroled till April 19th 2009" to my wife.
Now my question is: my wife wants to visit India soon in Feb 1st week and return before April 1st week, does she need to apply for a new AP or can she use the existing AP at the POE? Would there be any issues? Please suggest.
Also, In case if she stays for long, can I apply for a new AP for her when she is in India?

Think of AP as a visa (like the H1B) - it is only a document that allows you to "apply" for permission to the US at the POE. The date that your wife returns, the AP should be valid. If her return is in April, her current AP would have expired and she won't be able to use that document to the enter the US.
And the applicant needs to be in the US when the AP extension is filed. If that is the document your wife is relying on to return to the US (meaning she doesn't have a valid H or L visa stamp in her passport) she needs to get that in hand BEFORE she leaves for India - hence the term "Advance" Parole.
Now, if she has an H or L visa in her passport that is valid beyond her return date, then she won't have any trouble returning to the US.

I am a july 2007 filler as well and my GC was approved last month though the processing date was few months behind. I know some other cases as well whose 485 was approved when the processing date was not current. So i would say that just stay positive and keep your fingers crossed. Happy days should be just around the corner.

Can you provide some more information on the AILA liaison meetings? Excuse my ignorance but I have never heard of it before.
Can we ask AILA to support the letter campaign? Specifically, can we ask AILA to push for recapturing 218K unused visas and clarification on how they might be allocated, if recaptured?

I got an approval in March 2007 and status still says 'the notice that USCIS sent was returned as undeliverable". As I guess approval notice was sent to my employer's old address and so returned. My employer got address changed and sent request to Nebraska Service Centere to resent the documents, but documents not received yet. Still waiting.

You should act fast and call NSC ASAP to see why the notice was not resent. I hope this situation doesn't affect our I-485s sent on 2nd July when the I-140 was pending. (It was approved on 7/18)

Answer: No, you don't need to get your visa stamped unless you are traveling internationally and need to re-enter US
2. Can i work for company B with my H1B approval
Answer: It is perfectly legal to start working with H1-B approval even though your passport has L1 visa stamped
3. To start my new job, do my employer should change my status
Answer: Definitely-YES. I-9 form from employer should reflect this
4. If going for stamping do my dependents also should join me

hi thank you once again.
my project is not that much long term project . after completing project again i have to go for " X " location only . In this recession time getting project in same place is very tough and then for every project we cant move our whole family but we single persons can adjust and stay with some friends in that project location.
I said i moved not we all. sorry for that i might have tell you clearly before . i thought if i write everything its looks like bigger matter. so for suggesting me some guys cant take that much time to read full thing. so i mentioned only important things. anyway i really appriciate your good efforts . thank you.

But the underlying fact stays same... They can conservative all they want..
What I don't understand is their rationale in being hellbent on not understanding ground
realities.
If they waste, I think we should sue them being racists because the beneficiaries are all Asians..
